The paper collection features exclusive printed cardstocks, vellums, and B&T Duos™ and, with a retail value of $11.95, is a fantastic deal for products you can’t get anywhere else. Plus, with your $50 qualifying purchase, you will also qualify for the May Stamp of the Month for an additional $5 (retail value $17.95)!

Of course, we have a special blog hop for you so you can get some ideas of what you can do with this special paper pack.  If you've come here from Melinda's If You Bling It blog, or if you are just starting out, you are in the right place. So let's get down to business and check out my project!

As soon as I saw this paper pack, I knew the colors were perfect for some pictures I had of my son working on the annual 2nd grade Planet Project. I also knew that the perfect sketch was in one of my how-to books (I found it in Imagine).  I chose this sketch because Drew's planet was Jupiter and it reminds me of the striped look of the planet.  Keeping with that, I stuck to the red and yellow papers for the strips and added the aqua for accents.  Putting everything on the black background of "space" also matched his project poster - and I even used the same font on my title that we cut for his poster!

The Artiste Cricut cartridge has some great images of a Saturn-type planet and a star, so I used the cuts for my embellishments.

I sponged the edges of everything (except the vellum with gold dots) with coordinating ink for added depth. I used Creme Brulee, Ruby, and Lagoon.

I hope you enjoyed my project today, and I'd love to know what you think. If you're ready to shop feel free to visit my website (opens in a new tab/window). Now, let's go visit Adeline's blog. because I'm excited to see her idea!

  2. Great layout. Love how you cut images out of patterned paper. That gives them just that little bit more punch.
