My poor son was forced to endure some odd hand-me-downs as a third child after two girls. However, he absolutely loved that bright pink Trix yogurt when he was younger, so I chose to play it up with the new Sweetheart papers from Close To My Heart (available February1). I used black for my page bases to tone down the "girly" factor. I also added accents from the new Sweetheart Level 2 Assortment of epoxy stickers, which are all black with white polka dots.
Here's the entire list of products I used in this layout:
- X7134B Sweetheart Paper Packet (NEW)
- Z1386 Sweetheart Level 2 Assortment (NEW)
- Z1393 Black Mini-Medley Accents Collection (NEW)
- Z1370 Pink Assortment Buttons (NEW)
- Z1261 Lots of Dots Irresistibles alphabet
- E1009 Building Block Alphabet stamp set
- D1348 Priceless Love stamp set
- Z282 Black Hemp
- Z1096 Neutral Assortment embroidery floss (white)
- Z2193 Cotton Candy stamp pad
- Z2102 Baby Pink Stamp Pad (sponged on journaling paper)
- Z2105 Black stamp pad
- date stamp (office supply), notebook edge punch (SU)

Noone referred me;I found you through a MTC forum--lucky me:-) I am both a scrapbooker and cardmaker. If I'm scrapbooking I'm working on my kids' albums and if I am cardmaking I'm usually making a birthday card. Enjoy your day!

What an adorable layout! I love that you captured this favorite from his babyhood.

Hi Lori. I found you through you! I'm a follower and on several groups with you, including frugal. I generally enjoy card making and gift type making, home decor stuff. Have yet to do a layout. I tend to lean toward whimsical, victorian, country or blingy. I am sure blingy is a word, right? Love the layout with your son. As the six year old says it takes a real man to wear pink!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing all of these with us. They are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou do a great job on your cards. Also everyone else has also.

Hmmm...I'm already a follower so I don't remember "how" I found you! LOL. I am mainly a scrapbooker of my kids but also within the last year have started making some cards for the holidays...birthdays, get well, thank you etc. I'm pretty new to stamping in general and am finding the new clear stamps are WONDERFUL...I hated the old wooden ones as I could ever get it straight. Thanks so much for sharing your cute layout. My hubby used to own a pink shirt and he said you have to be a "real" man to pull off pink! LOL.
ReplyDeleteActually your referred me! I saw you post on one of my Yahoo groups and came to see what you were doing! So put your name in the drawing ;0)
ReplyDeleteI only do cards... no scrapbooking here... and I love to add Scripture, butterflies, birds, flowers, and trees to my cards! Thanks again!
