Chairs To You! May Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to another Stamp of the Month blog hop! This month we have over 50 consultants on board to share their fabulous ideas with you. If you're here from Tammy Lea's My Creative Clubhouse, you're in the right place. If you're just starting out, you only need to continue on from here and work your way around until you're back where you started! When you are done here, you'll move along to Carla's Carla Creates blog.

The images in this month's stamp set are a hot trend right now - chairs!  With several styles to choose from, and some great coordinating sentiments, you're sure to find many uses for this set.  For my sample this month, I chose to create a fast & simple card.

The simplicity of this 10 minute card makes it perfect for mass production.  I think these would make terrific thank you cards for bridal shower or wedding gifts.  I started with a 4.25" x 5.5" card base in Olive CS, then added a 2.25" x 5.5" piece of striped paper to the top front.  I cut a .25" x 5.5" strip of Colonial White CS and lightly sponged the top & bottom edges with Desert Sand ink for dimension, then added it to the card.  I stamped the overstuffed chair stamp on the floral paper, cut it out, and popped it up on 3-D foam adhesive tape.  I then stamped the sentiment and heart image (3 times) directly on the card using Cocoa ink.  I used a matching Cocoa marker to color in the 3 hearts so they would show against the stripes.

Additional supplies used to create this card:
That was it - super simple!  Now, head on over to Carla Creates and see what she has in store for us today!

  1. FANTASTIC card! I love how quick and easy you've made your colorful card. The yellow patterned paper is perfect for the chair's upholstery, too! :)

  2. I love how darling this is with the Mayberry papers!! Very cute card!!

  3. Great minds must think alike. I stamp the same chair on the same paper for an 'upholstered' look. :)

  4. This is adorbale...makes me want to put my feet up and relax
